Nova Growth Capital has invested £195k in online clinical trials platform, Trialwell.
The Liverpool start-up uses artificial intelligence to match a user’s profile to upcoming clinical trials and resources.
Its founder, Laura Holland, a doctor of integrative medicine and social impact entrepreneur, pitched her concept to the Nova investment panel earlier this year.
“I’m thrilled to have achieved investment into Trialwell from Nova Growth Capital and excited to grow our journey together,” she said.
“After working in the industry for many years, one of the main challenges we face is a significant lack of awareness about clinical trials and their potential to be a source of help. Especially trials studying natural treatments and preventative medicines, which could be beneficial for so many of us.
“We need to democratise access to clinical trials as well as the latest science-based health advice. We’re aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of millions around the globe. We’re here to support everyone through their health and wellbeing journey.”
Olivia Greenberg, Nova’s Chief Growth Officer added:
“We are delighted to welcome Laura and the Trialwell team onboard. Laura’s passion and commitment for helping people’s health and wellbeing is what led us to invest in this startup. We firmly believe that this venture will positively impact the health and wellbeing of many. This is something that we at Nova, are excited to be part of.”
