Northern agencies combine for John Lewis-inspired Christmas ad

Wildes Hotels are releasing a new Christmas campaign next month, hoping to rival some of the heart string-tugging John Lewis campaigns.

Created by Manchester’s Jack Fox Productions and Sheffield TV agency, Relish Media, it will run on ITV Yorkshire and Central from 3rd November. It will appear in major shows, such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street and the new series of I’m a Celebrity.

“Our new Christmas advert beautifully captures the spirit of the season – family, friendship, and the joy of togetherness,” said Marc Wildes, Managing Director of Wildes Hotel.

“We’re thrilled to share this story with the world and welcome guests to make their own festive memories with us.”

Set in Derbyshire, the storyline sees a family returning to a Wildes Hotel year after year and is based around the theme of a ever changing snow globe.

“The Snow Globe was created during a time when everything in the world felt a little heavy, and I wanted to bring some light-hearted magic back into people’s feeds,” explained Jack Donohoe of Jack Fox productions.

“As a start-up production company built by young, local creatives, we wanted to show that storytelling in the hotel industry doesn’t have to feel corporate, it can be cinematic, emotional and full of character.”
