Disney+ is heading back to Cheshire to film with the Rooneys, who’ll reveal “a side of us we’ve never shown before.”
That will include Coleen designing her new range of Primark clothing, plus Wayne doing school runs and supporting his eldest son as he pursues his own footballing career.
The Hulu Original Series, The Real Rooneys will premiere on 24th September and is executive produced by Julian Bird, Paul Stretford, and Ashley Smith for Lorton Entertainment, and Danny Horan and Tanya Winston for Blast Films.
Stretford has been Rooney’s agent since the start of his football career.
Described as a “pivotal year” in their lives, the 10-part series promises “unprecedented access” to the family through “surprising personal revelations, career-defining moments, lavish celebrations and unforgettable family holidays.”
It has been filmed in Cheshire, Barbados and the Alps.
The Series Director is Martin Webb and Nonuk Walter serves as showrunner.
The series was commissioned in the UK by Sean Doyle, Vice President, Unscripted for Disney+.
Disney+ has worked with the Rooneys for more than 3 years, airing Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story after the conclusion of the trial.
