New programme to make tech and digital firms investor-ready

A new scheme is being launched in Tees Valley to help digital and tech businesses, which are seeking to become “investor ready.”

The fully-funded Investment Readiness Programme is offered by DigitalCity and led by financial firm, Edale.

It’s aimed at companies with “significant growth plans” but without the resources to make them happen.

“This programme is about helping business leaders to understand investment practically, and to defeat any perceptions that it isn’t right for them,” said David Dixon, Digitalisation for Growth Manager at DigitalCity.

“Through our enjoyable learning experience, we will provide deep insights into what makes a business investable and prepare entrepreneurs to tell their unique story in a way that captures investors and promotes growth.”

It will feature workshops, one-to-one coaching and a “friendly investor den” to prepare leaders to pitch their businesses.

DigitalCity, is a Teesside University-led initiative and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
