A brand new local community radio station, CRFM, has launched for Carlisle and Cumbria this morning.
The station launched at 8am this morning on 102.7FM and online. The channel’s studios, in Carlisle, are named after the late local broadcaster and Radio Academy CEO John Myers.
Well known local voices joining the station include 911 singer Lee Brennan, former BBC Radio Cumbria presenters Val Armstrong, Joe Costin, Paul Braithwaite and Ian Timms.
