New Hollyoaks titles and theme tune to debut today

Hollyoaks debuts brand-new titles and a refreshed theme tune today.

The vibrant new titles showcase the fun of the Hollyoaks village with gatherings galore as the glammed-up residents gather in the hub of the village – The Dog in The Pond. The new scenes were shot in Chester at 5am “to catch the sunrise” and simultaneously “root Hollyoaks in the North West.”

The new titles will debut today (September 17) accompanied by a new slowed-down track as the theme music is revamped – still having the familiar ring but with a modern twist.

A.Skillz, the composer, nu-skool breaks don, Supercharged Records mainstay, and only soap theme tune maker we’re aware of to join the writer of this story in holding a Breakspoll Award, has worked on all of the titles since 2009, and created the new arrangement.

The main guitar hook is unchanged but updated with new instruments, and slower tempo shifts.

The new sequence comes as Channel 4’s flagship soap jumps one year in time following an action-packed stunt, but how will the village fair a year down the line?

The titles shoot was directed by Angelo Abela.
