New data lead spearheads trio of hires at Mustard

Award-winning Manchester agency, Mustard, has hired Steven Searle as data operations manager, and has also hired Anna Hilliard as senior research executive and Jennifer Burke as market research apprentice.

Searle joins Mustard having spent the last 12 years at DJS Research. In his role at DJS, Searle managed the data department and brings experience in complex survey programming, data manipulation, tabulation, automation and web development. At Mustard, Searle will lead the data team and champion the agency’s work on panel and survey quality improvement.

Additionally, Mustard has appointed Hilliard as senior research executive, having previously worked at Millward Brown, JRA and DJS, and Jennifer Burke as market research apprentice. Burke is Mustard’s first appointment under the MRS’s Market Research Apprenticeship scheme.

Colin Auton, MD at Mustard, said: “With ongoing challenges for panel data quality, the emergence of synthetic data and the continuing evolution of generative AI, Steven is a key hire for Mustard in driving data quality over the coming years. Anna further bolsters the research team with a broad range of sector and agency experience. Finally, we’re also delighted to support the MRS Market Research Apprenticeship scheme with the arrival of Jennifer and look forward to watching her develop over her time with us.”
