Guinness made the Surfer. Now it’s got a kebab that looks like a pint

Guinness might be best known for some of the most iconic ad campaigns in British advertising history – from the toucan to the horses, and of course the unforgettable Surfer spot.

The latest Guinness creation probably won’t be held up alongside those legendary moments, but it’s certainly something to get your teeth into. Because yes… Guinness has become a kebab.

The Guinnnes kebab is launching at BOX Sports Bars across the UK for the Six Nations and it’s designed to look like a proper pint of the black stuff, complete with a creamy white “head”.

Landing on 5 February, the kebab will be available for six weeks during the Six Nations, and you’ll be able to try it in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, as well as London, Nottingham and Birmingham.

The kebab is made with “Guinness marinated beef kofta in sticky Guinness chipotle sauce, finished with mint yoghurt,” according to the team behind it.

The beef is marinated in Guinness, giving the meat the deep, rich flavour of the black stuff, before being wrapped in a handmade flatbread, drizzled with a sticky homemade Guinness chipotle glaze and topped with fresh mint yoghurt. Yes, it even comes with a creamy white head.

Designed to look like a pint of Guinness, the kebab is set to turn heads as the 2025 Six Nations kicks off.

Prices start from £12.95, but it depends where you order it. For example, Londoners have to pay £2 more for the pleasure at Box Piccadilly.

Tom Mayer-Jones, Brand & Marketing Manager at BOX, said: “Our new Guinness kebab is a playful nod to our Irish friends ahead of the Six Nations, whilst also tapping into our favourite night out food as Brits – the kebab! We’ve brought these two things together in a way that feels true to BOX – bold, social, and a meal designed to be enjoyed alongside big sporting moments. We’re inviting everyone down to BOX to watch the rugby and enjoy our new menu item.”
