Manchester’s Use.Space is hosting a spoken word event featuring the founders of WithLove.Studio – designer Chris Roberts and photographer Rob Evans.

The pair are also the creators of limited edition book With Love: The Backbone of Britain: The People Behind the Craft and the With Love Project, their journey to meet those people in and around the UK who make things with a passion and a purpose, from surfboards to salt. Their talk promises to follow the journey from pub idea to a storytelling business working with purpose-led brands.

Also speaking at the event will be Chris H and Marta V, founders of Manchester’s AJOTO, “a minimalist lifestyle brand focusing on creating beautiful tools for your journey, combining the precision of modern manufacture with soul and craft.”

Since 2011 Chris and Marta have grown AJOTO from a table in the British Library into a renowned stationery and accessories brand that celebrates the creative and the curious.

Their name AJOTO is a compression of the incomplete sentence ‘A Journey to… ‘ and embodies their philosophy that “what makes us who we are is the journey we take.”

The event takes place at Use.Space, Paddock Street, Ardwick on Wednesday, July 19 from 6pm – 9pm

Tickets cost £5, crucially including pizza, beer or soft drinks, and all profits will be donated to Forever Manchester, Greater Manchester’s Community Foundation.
