PR, influencer and social media agency Smoking Gun has been appointed by Manchester-based property consultancy Sixteen Real Estate following a competitive pitch.

Specialising in the office and industrial markets, Sixteen Real Estate has established a strong reputation for its expertise in the property sector. Raising the business’s profile ahead of its landmark ten-year anniversary later this year will form a key part of the brief.

The appointment marks another addition to Smoking Gun’s expanding B2B portfolio, which includes campaigns to elevate the market presence of BWH Hotels GB, Profitroom and UA92.

The strategic brief will see Smoking Gun lead a profile-raising charge for the consultancy’s key senior team. The campaign will focus on driving visibility and meaningful connections through both earned media and social media, with a specific emphasis on LinkedIn.

The account will be led by Lee Simpson, Smoking Gun’s B2B senior account director, who brings extensive experience in delivering strategic B2B growth.

Nick Nelson, founding director at Sixteen Real Estate (left), said: “As we approach our tenth anniversary, we wanted a partner who understood our ambitious growth plans and the nuances of the property market. Smoking Gun stood out for their strategic clarity and creatively bold approach. We look forward to working with Lee and the team to mark our major milestone this summer, and further elevate our profile and digital influence across the UK.”

Rick Guttridge, founder and CEO of Smoking Gun (right), added: “Sixteen Real Estates’ passion to push boundaries and speak out on the issues that matter in the industry give us the makings of a powerful campaign – the brief spoke to us immediately. Our storytellers will build brand authority, cement market position and create a definitive moment worthy of the consultancy’s decade of success.”

Smoking Gun, also Manchester-based, works with major organisations including Philips, Alton Towers Resort, American Golf, Brother and Best Western Hotels to drive publicity, change perception and persuade audiences to act. Its strategic planning division, the Intention Unit, delivers research-led consultancy combined with best-in-class storytelling, channel expertise and intelligent measurement to drive business impact for clients.
