Manchester Central has announced the appointment of Manchester Airport MD Chris Woodroofe as its new Chair.
Chris is responsible for leading the UK’s third-largest airport and has overseen its continued post-pandemic recovery, operational performance and future-focused growth plans.
As Chair of Manchester Central, Woodroofe will support the venue’s leadership team in steering its future direction, with a particular focus on long-term, sustainable performance that contributes directly to Manchester’s strategic ambitions.

Commenting on his appointment, Chris said: “At Manchester Airport we often say we are proud to connect the North to the world.
