Long-established PR agency makes strategic rebrand move

Ilkley communications agency Anita Morris Associates has rebranded as Animo PR, changing its name to reflect the wider brief it now delivers across arts and culture, regeneration and placemaking.

The agency said the rebrand brings its name and identity into line with the strategic role it now plays for clients across the UK, as its communications work increasingly spans earned media, digital and social channels. The new name combines founder Anita Morris’s name with the Latin term animo, meaning “with spirit, mind and intention”.

Animo PR is based in Ilkley and has more than 25 years’ experience working with organisations involved in culture-led regeneration and place-based transformation. Its leadership team, staff and client focus remain unchanged following the rebrand.

The business works across media relations, digital strategy, content creation and public-facing campaigns, supporting clients as they navigate increasingly complex public conversations and communicate directly with audiences.

The rebrand comes during a period of sustained activity for the agency. Current and recent clients include Heatherwick Studio, ECF and the West Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership, alongside cultural programmes running into 2026.

Its longer-term work includes major UK cultural and regeneration projects such as Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, LEEDS 2023 and The Piece Hall, as well as schemes with developers including Citu, igloo Regeneration and Muse.

Founder and managing director Anita Morris said: “Animo PR reflects our strategic evolution as we approach 27 years in business working on complex cultural, civic and regeneration projects. The agency has been shaped by a strong and talented team, and the name grows directly out of the history of Anita Morris Associates, whilst reflecting who we are today and the values that continue to define our work as we mark a new chapter for the company.”
