Inizio Medical completes major refurbishment of Macclesfield HQ

Specialist medical communications agency, Inizio Medical, has completed a major refurbishment of its historic UK headquarters.

The newly reopened Victoria Mill in Macclesfield has been redesigned as “community outreach hub” to that it can have an “enhanced role at the heart of the local community.”

The group has been based at the site since the 90s, but turned to one of the original Victoria Mill workers to cut the ribbon. Joan Hulme was a floor manager when it was a functioning silk mill – and is the grandparent of a current member of staff.

“Our newly refurbished office space provides not just a dynamic new creative working space for our employees, but also preserves an important part of Macclesfield’s heritage. Having Joan officially reopen the office shows a unique personal connection with the building’s historic past and its commercial future,” explained Elaine Ferguson, Global President, Inizio Medical.

“Our commitment to the local community is an integral part of our newly reopened headquarters, we have hired a designated member of staff to forge ties and build relationships in the local area and make the most of the amazing organisations we have on our doorstep.”

Inizio employs 320 staff in Macclesfield, who will now have access to a suite of well-being services, including yoga, personal trainer-led activities, and a mindfulness coach.

“In a post-pandemic world, collaborative in-person working is essential to deliver creative work that stands out from the crowd. We aim to combine the flexibility of hybrid working with the personal touch you can only get with face-to-face interaction,” added Dan Bridges Global CEO of Inizio Medical.

“This is not just good for the business but is also essential for the learning and development of our talented employees across the business. The importance of employee mental and physical well-being is at the heart of the new working environment we have created through the refurbishment.”
