Evoke Mind+Matter has won a competitive pitch to handle Superdrug’s Corporate and Consumer PR for a further 2 years.

The win came following a planned bi-annual roster review by the retailer.

“We’ve worked with Evoke Mind+Matter for three years now and have built a very strong relationship, with the account team working as an extension of the Superdrug client team,” said Helen Flaxman, Head of Customer & Communications at Superdrug.

“We’re looking forward to working with the new Manchester faces this year and have no doubt that the exciting creative campaigns we have planned, will continue to have impactful results and extend our share of voice across the country.”

The account will be led out of Evoke Mind+Matters’ Brighton base by Holly Ford, its Head of Consumer Communications, supported by Senior Account Director, Carly Jones.

They will be supported by a newly expanded Manchester team, including Account Director Jess MacDonald and Account Manager, Sophie Charlesworth who both join from the PHA Group. Pip Reilly has been named Senior Account Executive.

It takes its Castlefield headcount to 31, working with clients such as GSK, Takeda, Bayer and Superdrug.

The agency also has 24 staff based in Macclesfield.

Ford explained that further growth was planned as they built a consumer health division in the North:

“Our new additions in Manchester bring a wealth of knowledge to the team – with a blend of consumer and corporate experience. This is crucial in running such a fast-paced, retail account, and so we’re really pleased to be expanding our team and bolstering our expertise in what we call a ‘corp-sumer’ set up. With over 780 stores across the country and new store locations in both The Trafford Centre and Arndale Centre in 2023, it is a great time to be bolstering Team Superdrug in the North.”

Evoke Mind+Matter is part of health and life sciences group, Inizio. The brand was formed in 2022 to combine Ashfield Medcomms and Huntsworth.
