The 20th series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here launched last night with its biggest audience since the 2018 final.
The reality show, which is coming live from Gwrych Castle in Abergele this year instead of its usual location in Australia, achieved a peak of 12 million viewers.
Opening with an average of 10.9m across its slot from 9pm to 10.30pm, it was watched by more than half the available TV audience – 51.9% – which was up a million viewers on last year’s opener.
Outside of news programmes, it’s also the biggest overnight audience on any channel since the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special on BBC One last year.
