BBC Radio Humberside has signed a new commentary deal with Hull City.
It will mean that commentary of all its games will return to the BBC and ends the season-long agreement with Viking FM.
“We know our listeners love the quality of coverage and commentary BBC Radio Humberside provides on our region’s football clubs,” said Martyn Weston, editor of BBC Radio Humberside.
“I’m delighted that the BBC and Hull City are working together for the forthcoming season and that we are able to deliver exclusive commentary of all Tigers games home and away.”
David Burns will be joined by long-standing summariser Peter Swan as part of the match day commentary team for BBC Radio Humberside at all Hull City games.
“It feels like I’ve got part of my life back and it’ll be nice to be part of Hull City fans lives again. I hope we can keep them informed and entertained and make them feel part of things. I’m really rather chuffed,” said Burns.
