Hull City Tigers has announced a radio partnership deal with Viking FM for the new football season.
It means that the commercial station will get exclusive full-match commentary for all 46 home and away Championship games – as well as any cup ties.
“Viking FM is very proud to be working in partnership with the Club. As the local radio station for Hull we always strive to bring the most relevant content to our listeners,” stated Paul Corrigan, Viking FM station director.
“Over the last year, we have received excellent feedback about our commentary. We can’t wait to see what the next year will bring as we extend the partnership activity while championing the Tigers next season”
The service will also be available via the club’s recently rebranded Tigers TV.
“We’re delighted to once again be working in partnership with Viking FM for the upcoming season. They have been a long-standing supporter of the Club and we look forward to further growing that relationship over the coming months,” added Hull City Tigers commercial manager Joseph Clutterbrook.
BBC Radio Humberside said that it was “disappointed” that the club had “chosen to withdraw from our agreement.”
“We have enjoyed bringing listeners live commentary and we’re sad we will no longer be able to provide this service.”
The station will continue to have access to matches and provide score flashes along with pre and post-match summaries.
