Popular tech event series Founder F*ck Ups is returning this September and we can now reveal the full panel of leaders gearing up to share their highs and lows of building a business.
Hosted on 10 September at Bruntwood SciTech’s No.1 Circle Square in partnership with Praetura Ventures, the event series will be back with more raw, unfiltered honesty as a fresh panel of founders share their biggest lessons in an honest and open forum.
During the event, we’ll be uniting founders and entrepreneurs with a strict ‘no bullsh*t’ and ‘no judgement’ rule away from the humble brags on LinkedIn, where you can enjoy some awkward stories to learn from.
And we’ve got a stellar line-up of leaders set to appear on the panel. First up is Bobby Thandi, founder and CEO of XR Games, a multi award-winning VR and AR game development studio with over 100 members of staff. XR Games also works with the world’s largest publishers and hardware manufacturers such as Meta, PlayStation & Microsoft and works closely with AAA game studios, movie studios, and IP holders to bring world renowned IPs to life in VR.
Amy Whitell, co-founder and CEO of Collctiv is the second leader joining Thandi on the panel. Since launching in September 2019, Collctiv has helped over 1.1M people collect over $71m of group payments and is live in both the UK and the US. Prior to Collctiv, Whitell was COO of an edtech company, responsible for the digital production, international growth, operational teams and 600 staff.
Next up is Anna Sutton, co-founder and CEO of The Data Shed also joining the panel. Sutton co-founded The Data Shed, a bootstrapped Leeds based data engineering consultancy in 2013. Exiting to Hippo Digital in March 2023, she is now back at the beginning of the start-up journey with her SaaS data integration platform, The Data Refinery.
Completing the panel is Ayaan Mohamed Ali, founder and CEO of Digitech Oasis. Data automation company Digitech Oasis creates AI and robotics to help users predict, improve and automate critical business functions. Based in Manchester, Ayaan Mohamed Ali founded Digitech Oasis in 2020 to challenge the gender gap in tech.
