James O’Shaughnessy has established a new agency based out of Leeds city centre.
black&blue will specialise in branding and campaign work within the B2B and SME sectors.
However, it won’t be based on the “traditional agency model” and instead O’Shaughnessy will rely on a network that he’s built over the last 20 years.
“In these uncertain times clients need extra care and attention which I don’t think will happen for 9 out of 10 businesses that are with traditional agencies,” he explained.
“black&blue will have a handful of senior people full-time, supported by a network of best-in-class experts in their field. This allows us to provide great work and service and the client will pay for the value they receive rather than subsidising a large agency wage bill”.
O’Shaunessy spent 2 years as account director at Jaywing, before joining Fox as its head of client services in January 2017. He’s worked with clients ranging from Speedy Hire to Brother UK, Total UK and First Direct.
