Escode, the Manchester-based global leader in software escrow solutions, has expanded its European customer base by offering escrow protection to former customers of World Escrow, which entered bankruptcy on 1st July.
Headquartered in Manchester, with offices in North America, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands, new customers will be predominantly served by Escode’s Amsterdam office.
It has further grown Escode’s international footprint, which now serves 16,000 customers based across 135 countries worldwide. It comes following the business’s rebrand launch earlier this year in March, which saw it shift from NCC Group Software Resilience to Escode. It also recently marked quarter-on-quarter growth, announced as part of NCC Group’s August trading update.
The business was the first to pioneer the category of software escrow in the 1980s and has maintained its market leading position ever since. Software escrow was developed to drive better business continuity as organisations increasingly adopted innovative technologies. It functions as a tri-party agreement between software vendor, end user and independent escrow provider, whereby software source code is held securely and can be released to the end user if needed, so that critical operations can be rebuilt and restored.
Enterprises across all sectors are increasingly reliant on software to maintain business critical functions, software escrow has become an increasingly central component for those looking to embed better digital operational resilience across their organisations.
The newly acquired customers can now benefit from Escode’s market-leading software escrow solutions.
Adrian Ah-Chin-Kow, global commercial director at Escode, said: “Escode has been on a rapid growth journey this year. And, coupled with our strong heritage and global scale, it makes us the escrow partner of choice for all businesses.
“Our Amsterdam team have been collaborating closely with our new customers to ensure a smooth transition process, ensuring that we provide the exceptional service and support that we are known for. Better business continuity in a digital world is the heartbeat of our work. Whether it’s through our pioneering software escrow solutions, or our ability to ensure customers of other escrow companies can still benefit from this critically important service, even in the face of business collapse.”
