Sports promoter, Eddie Hearn, will present a new podcast for BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds.

No Passion No Point will feature sports stars and celebrities, including YouTuber, KSI, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Joshua.

“I’m so excited to be working with 5 Live and BBC Studios on my first podcast,” said Hearn.

“The idea evolved from a boxing podcast to one that encompasses not just the sport I love but also business, life and the drive to succeed. Passion is at the heart of what I do and I can’t wait to share the stories of this brilliant pool of talent who feel the same way.”

The BBC said that the podcast would also offer a glimpse behind the scenes of Hearn’s life, as it’s recorded “on the fly.”

“Eddie Hearn is one of the biggest characters in sport and this podcast is going to offer a fascinating and unique insight into the world in which he works,” added Jonathan all, Controller of BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We already have a string of hugely successful 5 Live podcasts, from That Peter Crouch Podcast and Brexitcast to 5 Live Boxing and true crime series Paradise, and I’m sure No Passion, No Point will be a huge hit.”

Hearn is the managing director of Matchroom Sport, which last year signed a $1bn deal with streaming giant, Dazn.

The first episode features Anthony Joshua, who’s represented by Matchroom, ahead of his  title fight against Andy Ruiz Jr in New York. It also marks Hearn’s first major event in the United States.

No Passion, No Point is made by BBC Studios TalentWorks in partnership with BBC Studios Productions for BBC Radio 5 Live.
