Early 20th-century Paris inspires Hendrick’s latest limited edition

Scottish gin brand Hendrick’s has taken inspiration from early 20th century Paris for the latest limited edition release in its ‘Cabinet of Curiosities.’

Available nationwide this month, Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret is the latest gin launch from the Girvan-based distillery, dubbed as a new limited-release gin for “dreamers, artists and free-spirited souls.”

The new launch from Hendrick’s makes use stone fruits in its production, marking a first for master distiller Lesley Gracie who said she was inspired by the French ‘eau de vie’, a range of European spirits made from an array of different stone fruits, that was often served with a dash of gin and scented with rose.

Never a brand to shy away from experimentation, Gracie said she has taken Grand Cabaret as her opportunity to bring stone fruit into the combination of botanicals in her gin, helping to “anchor a rich cabaret of flavours in a gin.”

The labelling sports Hendrick’s some purple hues alongside the signature apothecary-style bottle.

“Captivated by a historic fruit-based libation that was in vogue in Paris in the early 20th Century, Ms Lesley Gracie has created a decadently delicious, pleasure-seeking expression of Hendrick’s that is imbued with untamed exuberance and poetry,” reads the brands tagline.

Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret makes its debut to the off-trade from this month, with the brand’s signature 700ml bottle priced at £30.
