E4 is to air an hour long reality pilot, It’s a Scouse Life, next month.
Filmed over the course of the summer, the show says it will offer an “up-close and personal look at the ups and downs of one interwoven group of metropolitan Merseysiders as they juggle relationships, friendships and business in one of Europe’s most buzzing and distinctive cities.”
The show has been made by Optomen Television.
“We want to thank the City of Liverpool and our cast, who gave us the magic needed on-screen and off-screen to produce this charming reality project. We’re sure E4 viewers will enjoy the authentic access to the some of the young lives and loves in and around L1,” said Optomen CEO Nick Hornby.
The programme is executive produced by Rebecca McLaughlin and Series Produced by Simon Atkins, who added:
“Getting to spend time in this vibrant city gave a real insight into the close-knit lives of this cast, their families and the community which we hope shines through in this pilot.”
The programme was commissioned for Channel 4 by Genna Gibson, Commissioning Editor, Reality & Entertainment.
“Channel 4 has a celebrated history of showing Liverpool on screen, which makes it all the more exciting to bring this latest reality project to viewers on E4 to show modern Liverpool in all its glory,” said Gibson.
The 1 x 60’ TX pilot commission will premiere Tuesday 12 November on E4 after Married at First Sight UK, and stream on Channel 4.
