A BBC Daytime series investigating neighbourhood crime is being made by Purple Productions and filmed at dock10 in MediaCity.
Doorbell Detectives is a new 5-parter, hosted by Matt Allwright and looks at how victims of crime have turned to their doorbell and security cameras to help police track down the criminals.
Made by Manchester’s Purple Productions, Wright will be based at the show’s “Incident Room” in Salford, as people show how their footage was instrumental in investigating crimes.
Police experts will also offer insight, tips and tricks into how you can protect yourselves and your homes.
“Neighbourhood Watch has had a digital upgrade! We’re all reliant on using our smart doorbells to ensure that deliveries arrive on time or knowing who’s at the door, but they are more and more being used to tackle local crime,” said Purple Productions’, Dympna Jackson.
“Matt will be uncovering some gobsmacking stories and really help you feel safer on your street.”
Purple is part of Objective Media Group, an All3Media company.
