Digital City Festival returns for 2023 to celebrate the innovative digital sector

Digital City Festival 2023

The countdown is now on as Digital City Festival is preparing to return for 2023!

Digital City Festival is the annual event series that brings together leaders and experts across the digital community to network, collaborate and learn. With events planned across Manchester from 27-31st March, it’s sure to be a week to remember.

At the heart of Digital City Festival is Digital City Expo, a two day event held at Manchester Central between 28-29 March 2023. Connecting over 4,500 professionals across the tech, marketing and ecommerce sectors, you can expect to hear world-class content from more than 140 inspiring industry specialists and see over 120 exhibitors showcasing their skills and expertise. The event is free to attend and you can register to secure your space now!

Initially launched in 2020 by the hard-working team at Prolific North, Digital City Festival has since grown exponentially over the last 3 years. From being broadcast from MediaCityUK in a pivot to virtual during the Covid pandemic in 2021, the event marked a triumphant in-person return in March this year at Manchester Central.

Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester who opened the very first Digital City Festival back in 2020 where he said the annual event will “put Manchester ever more clearly on the digital and tech map”, returned to kick off the event.

As well as an opening keynote from former Digital Minister Chris Philp in March, we had a real mix of incredible industry speakers from Weetabix, Hootsuite, Praetura Ventures, techUK, Rise at Seven, Social Chain and many more!

There are also a wide range of opportunities to become involved in Digital City Festival with options to sponsor, exhibit or speak at the event – you can find out more here.

Cllr Andrew Western, GMCA Lead for Digital, Work and Skills, said on the importance of Digital City Festival: “Events of this kind are invaluable for the digital sector. Our Digital Blueprint for Greater Manchester puts people at the heart of our plans and so it’s only right that as a region we bring people together to showcase, celebrate and learn from each other what makes a leading digital city.”

Gemma Banks, Senior Marketing Director of EMEA for Klaviyo which was one of our Headline Partners for the event earlier this year, said: “We are at the intersection of many dynamic challenges facing businesses today.” She added: “Klaviyo is proud to partner with Digital City Festival 2022 to take part in important discussions around solutions to these challenges.”

Digital City Festival Director, Martyn Collins, said: “Digital City Festival is now firmly established as the major business event in the calendar for the global digital community.

“DCF brings together the best of technology, talent and thought leadership, enabling people to connect, inspire and learn, and being the platform to enable business growth and continued success for Manchester and the North.

“We look forward to a week full of exciting partner events, Digital City Expo, business summits, networking, social and cultural experiences. Be part of it!”
