Citypress will deliver strategic corporate and b2b PR and social media for Siemens UK and Ireland’s Smart Infrastructure and Digital Industries businesses after winning a six-way competitive pitch.
The new brief is thought to be the first time a single agency has handled both parts of Siemens’ UK operation.
Citypress’ remit is to further establish Siemens in the UK and Ireland as a provider of technology and services addressing challenges from net zero and energy consumption to digital transformation and cyber security.
Anne Keogh, head of external relations at Siemens, said: “Citypress showed us a real appreciation for the role that Siemens has to play in solving the big issues of our time. The team produced a suite of creative and imaginative ways to help us tell our sometimes complex stories to our audiences and demonstrated a deep understanding of the sectors in which we operate.”
Ricky Ambury, senior director at Citypress, added: “Siemens is a household name and a brand synonymous with pushing forward our understanding of what can be achieved with technology. It’s an incredibly exciting prospect to be working with the company to cement this reputation and the role it plays in meeting the big challenges lying ahead for business and society as a whole.”
Siemens joins a Citypress portfolio which already includes household names such as includes Aldi, British Gas, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, eBay and Primark.
Siemens UK HQ is located at Sir William Siemens House in Manchester, and around 11,000 of it’s 311,000 global workforce are based in the UK.
