Channel 5 is to run a major outdoor festival in Yorkshire, to celebrate rural life.
“5 on the Farm Festival” will take place in August at Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, where its show, This Week on the Farm is filmed.
The Viacom channel has hired York’s Wrapped Agency to handle cross channel brand communications, while Manchester’s CWM will deliver regional and lifestyle media relations.
“We are always looking for new ways to connect with our loyal audiences and bring them even more opportunities to engage with their favourite programmes,” said Ben Frow, Director of Programmes for ViacomCBS’s UK networks.
“What better way to celebrate the best of Yorkshire and our most-loved shows than by giving viewers the chance to meet all their favourite stars, take part in fun activities and spend the day at the home of This Week on the Farm.”
The August Bank Holiday event will feature 5 talent including, Ben Fogle, Helen Skelton, JB Gill and farming expert, Adam Henson.
There will also be a number of local suppliers.
Last year, Channel 5 confirmed that Yorkshire drama, All Creatures Great and Small, would be returning for a second series.
