Made in Manchester brings back its BBC Radio 4 panel show with Tim Vincent returning as host

Tim Vincent - Likely Dads

Radio production company Made in Manchester (MIM) has announced it is set to bring back its comedy panel show ‘The Likely Dads’ for a second series on BBC Radio 4.

Former Blue Peter presenter Tim Vincent returns as host alongside regular panellists Mick Ferry and Russell Kane for a new set of six episodes.

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson and comedian Johnny Vegas are among the new celebrity guests, who will discuss “parenting from the paternal perspective” with a comedic twist.

The comedy show covers topics from their aspirations for their children to their successes and failures as dads.

Johnny Vegas will discuss bonding with his son over their mutual love of cooking, while Simon Gregson will reveal the heartbreak that comes with going through multiple miscarriages.

There will be a host of other celebrity guests including Britain’s Got Talent finalist Nabil Abdulrashid, comedian Alun Cochrane, comedian and author George Lewis and Live At The Apollo’s Emmanuel Sonubi.

MIM Producer Kurt Brookes said: “I’m really pleased that we got a second series of The Likely Dads because it means we get to tell more stories from dads across the country. And just because these dads have been on TV or radio it doesn’t mean they’ve not been through the same experiences as the rest of us; George Lewis has to dodge dog-dirt on the school run, Emmanuel Sonubi has to juggle work and taking his kids on days out and Nihal Arthanayake struggles through helping his kids with their geography homework.”

Host Tim Vincent added: “As a LILF ( Later In Life Father ) I highly recommend listening to The Likely Dads, you might learn something but at the very least you will laugh and then possibly gasp.”

The Likely Dads returns to BBC Radio 4 at 11pm on Thursday April 7th and will also be available on BBC Sounds.
