Body Fuel brand parent nears £1bn market cap as revenues soar 50% YoY

Applied Nutrition PLC shares jumped as much as 9% on Wednesday after the sports nutrition group and owner of the Body Fuel energy drinks brand delivered annual revenue ahead of expectations and forecast another strong year of growth.

Shares jumped as high as 350.5p this morning, 9.0% above Tuesday’s 321.5p close following today’s update to investors.

Revenue for the year to 31 July 2026 increased 50% to around £160 million from £107 million, beating company-compiled market expectations of £148.4 million.

For the year ending July 2027, Applied Nutrition expects revenue of around £205 million, representing growth of about 28% and comfortably ahead of current consensus of £186.2 million.

Adjusted EBITDA is forecast to rise a further 13% to approximately £49 million, compared to previous forecasts of £47.7 million.

Today’s results exclude the trade and assets of Nutrablend, which were acquired in June.

The firm, which has Coleen Rooney as an investor and brand ambassador, was founded by fitness enthusiast Thomas Ryder in 2014 and went public with an LSE listing in October 2024.

Today’s jump in share value gives the Liverpool firm a market cap of around the £900m mark, meaning that if the firm continues as predicted it should hit a milestone £1bn valuation by the end of this year.

Applied Nutrition sells products in over 85 countries worldwide, including its much-hyped, Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett-endorsed Body Fuel brand. The company said that some of the improved trading could be credited to increased sales from whey-based products, partly following what the company described as the “very successful relaunch” of Critical Whey in the 2026 financial year.

Applied Nutrition operates manufacturing facilities in Knowsley and Buffalo, New York, to serve its rapidly growing US customer base. It sells over 120 different products across four ranges.

Full results for the 2026 financial year will be released on or around 16 November 2026.
