Big-hitting directorial trio join new chair in board shake up at Manchester fintech

Suits Me, the Manchester financial services provider offering alternatives to a bank account to everyone, regardless of credit history, has appointed three new non-executive directors, and promoted existing NED Kate Frankish to the position of chair.

Christopher Greany, Phil Holland and Deborah Walker join as NEDs, bringing expertise across cyber security, commercial strategy, risk management, and financial services governance, in “the most significant expansion of the Suits Me board to date.”

Greany, cyber security & financial services leader, brings more than two decades of senior leadership across financial services, critical national infrastructure, and government. He has served as a senior law enforcement adviser to government during crisis events and sat on regulatory led cyber security boards.

Within financial services and banking, he has served as MD, leading global insider threat programs, cyber forensics, and security capabilities. He previously served as commander at the National Police Chiefs’ Council, leading cyber and economic crime response, and was a Trustee of Police Care UK, a charity that supports the families of officers harmed in the course of their duty.

Commercial, operations & governance leader Holland has spent over 25 years in Big Four professional services and performance consulting firms. He has held senior director-level roles and advised organisations through every stage of the growth cycle. His experience spans large FTSE-listed corporations and smaller, high-performing businesses, often backed by leading private equity firms. He brings expertise in commercial strategy, operational excellence, and value creation, and said looks forward to contributing to the next phase of growth at Suits Me: “Suits Me provides fast, accessible financial services that make everyday life easier for customers who are often underserved,” he explained. “I’m excited to support a business that delivers real value and removes barriers for people who need it most.’’

Walker, financial services risk, governance & regulatory leader, brings over 30 years’ experience in corporate and retail banking, risk management, and regulatory governance to the board. She is an experienced financial services executive and non-executive director and previously held an executive board director role for Tesco Bank. In risk and compliance she has been approved under the senior managers regime as SMF4 (chief risk officer) and SMF16 (compliance oversight). She has extensive experience overseeing regulatory remediation, risk and control transformation, and major product, conduct and governance change, providing strong insight into the challenges faced by regulated boards.

Finally, new chair Frankish, who currently leads on payments, strategy & transformation is a highly experienced senior executive and non-executive director was appointed back in September to support growth strategy. She will step now step up to the chair role and said: “I’m delighted to move into the role of chair of our newly formed board and excited to be working with such a strong team, who have been recruited based on their deep domain experience. This is a new chapter of growth for Suits Me and our board will advise and support the team, as we grow the provision of everyday money management services to a growing population of underbanked UK consumers.’’
