For the first time, all 39 BBC Local Radio stations are taking part in Local Radio Day on Friday 25 May.
The BBC stations will join forces with other charitable and commercial broadcasters across the UK to celebrate what local radio means to the communities it serves.
Local Radio Day is now in its third year and last year more than 80 stations took part.

“Last year, we marked the 50th anniversary of BBC Local Radio and set out some ambitious plans for the future. It makes complete sense for us to come together to promote what is so special about local radio and how its ability to connect with its local audience is unrivalled. I know how passionate and dedicated our teams working in BBC Local Radio are and I look forward to hearing what creative content will be broadcast on 25 May.”
