Band on the Wall has launched a New York inspired bar this month, supported by Sundae Communications.
The Copper Bar is a nod to NYC’s jazz venue, Zinc Bar and features new lighting, a hand-painted mural from local artist, Qubek, and collages from the its archive.
The brand design has been completed by Instruct Studio in Manchester.
“Band on the Wall is truly iconic. It is our city’s longest standing venue, and unique not only in its contribution to Manchester’s music history, but also its future, by programming forward thinking, international acts, every day of the week,” said Fiona McGarva, Managing Director of Sundae Communications.
“The team at Sundae has been honoured to work with Band on the Wall on the launch of The Copper Bar, and we are looking forward to throwing open the doors to press, industry and music lovers alike, in the new space that integrates the venue’s historic past with its bright future.”
The Copper Bar houses Band on the Wall’s second stage, which opened as part of the venue’s £3.5m redevelopment two years ago.
Sundae will deliver press and industry engagement.
“Throughout the campaign to launch The Copper Bar, the team at Sundae have all been amazing. From early brainstorms of creative ideas through to final delivery, every aspect of the campaign was considered and well thought through,” added Gavin Sharp, CEO at Band on the Wall.
“Fiona, Tom and the team share our vision and ambition for Band on the Wall. They balance creativity with attention to detail, and it has been brilliant to see that ethos hard at work here, delivering exceptional results.”
