Yorkshire agency hires US director

Bold Identities has hired a new North American director as it seeks to double turnover this year.

The Wakefield-based digital agency has recruited Mike McGloin, who’s working out of California.

“Service is everything to United States customers and while they will enquire online about our digital offer they like to do with business someone based in the US.  Mike is originally from Yorkshire but has worked overseas specifically in the USA, most recently,” explained founder and director, Richard Evans.

“Mike understands the recruitment industry, having worked for GQR Global.  He will bring experience and insight to help Bold Identities connect with potential customers in North America.”

Bold specialises in the recruitment sector and McGloin was senior vice president of GQR Global Markets for 2 years.

“American businesses respect the high-quality technology and aesthetic digital work created here in the UK,” he said.

“I will be able to add real value by going through the door and ensuring that projects remain on schedule and protecting the Bold Identities brand.”

Prior to McGloin’s arrival Evans and co-founder, Tom Wilde explained that they had previously attracted enquiries from the West Coast, but had struggled to covert them because of the time zone difference.

“California is home to more than 3000 recruitment agencies many of whom are in our target audience.  They are young, ambitious and growing,” added Evans.

“While Mike will project manage on the ground and provide the human link between Los Angeles and the UK, our project work will remain in our UK studio.”
