Edinburgh TV Festival has confirmed that Gary Lineker and Amelia Dimoldenberg will join its 2026 programme.
They’ll appear back-to-back on the first day of the event on 25th August, with Dimoldenberg in conversation with international correspondent for The Ankler, Manori Ravindran.
Over the past 10 years, Dimoldenberg has been a trailblazer in digital media, building a global following for Chicken Shop Date and helping redefine the celebrity interview.
It’s made by her own production company, Dimz, Inc, which is also behind her latest original series, Passenger Princess where she learns to drive with the help of Formula 1 drivers.
In Edinburgh she’ll reflect on the last decade and how these series have evolved into scripted comedy and how her production company is helping young people access creative industries.
On the same bill will be Gary Lineker, who’s currently covering the World Cup in America, after a Netflix deal for his podcast, The Rest is Football.
Lineker will sit down with 2026 Advisory Chair Adam Hawkins to reflect on the success Goalhanger has found since launching in 2018 and their ambitions across media and entertainment.
Goalhanger was recently named as Britain’s fastest growing company, with a series of podcasting series across multiple genres. Last year they were streamed more than 750m times.
Ahead of launching their first live event, The Rest is Fest, Lineker will also discuss its recent landmark investment deal with Chernin Group – the company behind blockbuster films, Planet of the Apes and The Greatest Showman – and its new accelerator initiative, which will see 6 content creators receive up to £10,000.
This year will be the final edition of the Edinburgh TV Festival as it relocates to Greater Manchester from 2027.
