Life sciences consultancy Coronado Research has opened a new office in Newcastle as part of its plans to to revolutionise clinical research.
The company, which has its head office in Kent, uses data-driven technology with the aim of accelerating the availability of innovative treatments and shortening the journey between drug discovery and regulatory approval.
“I am delighted to be opening an office in Newcastle, a major milestone for us,” said Andrew MacGarvey, CEO at Coronado Research.
“The location is ideal for us given the quality of the universities and the concentration of life sciences activity in the region. Our Newcastle team will bring a unique approach to Market Access and help Coronado deliver against its mission to join the dots between the approval and commercial sectors – ultimately delivering more treatments to more patients faster”.
The company plans to recruit up to 10 skilled staff in its first year, with “significant” expansion plans over the next 5.
It’ll be located at The Stamp Exchange, with the offie move supported by Invest Newcastle.
