Mumsnet makes debut Northern appointment

Mumsnet, the well-known, London-based parenting website, has appointed James Attwater to a its newly created role of agency partner, North, reporting into Julia Reip, head of agency sales and partnerships.

Reip, who has overall responsibility for revenue coming from media agencies, said the appointment would “complement and enrich the existing team”. He will bring his experience from The Guardian, GroundTruth, Yahoo, NewsUK, Global Radio & Bauer to Mumsnet.

In 2022, Mumsnet celebrated 22 years of being the most trusted, and most influential website for parents in the UK. Known for it’s famous acronyms (DH, AIBU), among other things, parents come to Mumsnet to seek advice, browse for recommendations, debate the hottest topics of the day, and create a groundswell of opinion and action. Despite being 22 years old, this will be the first time in its history that Mumsnet has invested in headcount in the North.
