Two Manchester agencies have joined forces to win a digital services contract with national skin cancer charity, Melanoma UK.

Agency founders, Rob Illidge and Steve Buckley, will provide the melanoma support group with long term digital strategy and brand development after being selected over local and national agencies.

Having founded separate businesses Elrelo and A Brand’s Best Friend in 2014, the two have partnered to provide the charity with multiple services.

Illidge, founder of digital marketing consultancy Elrelo, said: “It’s great to be working with Steve again having collaborated on brand projects in the past. By forming the perfect digital and design partnership for Melanoma UK we will be able to increase awareness of the charity, the services they provide and of course, messaging around sun safety.”

Buckley, former creative director at Studio North and founder of design agency, A Brand’s Best Friend, added: “I’m delighted to be working with Melanoma UK on the refresh of their brand – it’s a fantastic opportunity to create something that’s really going to help make a difference to people’s lives.

“This project also represents another step in the growing the partnership between A Brand’s Best Friend and Elrelo.”

Melanoma UK provides 24/7 support, guidance and treatment advice to melanoma patients and were founder members of the parliamentary task force brought together by Sian James MP in 2010.

Gillian Nuttall, founder of Melanoma UK, said: “I’m looking forward to working with both Rob and Steve to develop our digital and brand projects. As a growing charity it’s important that we work with experts that are not only passionate about the work they do, but also the services we provide to melanoma patients.”
