The BBC has revealed a number new commissions for the autumn schedules on BBC One and BBC Two, including the 15-part Dirty Rotten Scammers.

Carla-Maria Lawson, Head of Daytime and Early Peak, today announced the range of new and returning commissions for the slots, which are set to be produced in Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Cardiff.

They include a new daytime series presented by Michelle Ackerley (pictured, right) and her mother, Mavis (pictured, left), looking at the world of cyber-enabled fraud and hacking. Dirty Rotten Scammers (15×45), an ITN Productions series for BBC One produced in Leeds, will see the pair meeting victims of online crime and hearing their stories.

Michelle and Mavis will also talk to experts including the police, cyber experts, consumer champions, to find out what red flags viewers should be wary of.

There are also two new home makeover shows – Clean It, Fix It, and another with the working title of Virtually Home, on BBC One – the return of Rick Stein’s Cornwall, and a walking show with a competitive format, Take A Hike.

Carla-Maria Lawson said: “There’s a lot to look forward to this autumn and winter across the BBC One and Two schedules with these new titles offering a mix of properly useful and entertaining content that takes us across the UK. You’ll feel like you’re going out when you’re staying in!”
