Cheshire digital agency First Internet has paid tribute to its founder Stephen Alexander, who has died after a battle with cancer.

Alexander started the Cheshire digital agency from his kitchen table over 20 years ago and built it to 16 staff and revenues nearing £1million.

The agency has paid tribute across social media.

The Hale-based agency said it would now be moving forward with a new management team comprising Kat Rodway, client services director, Scott Baxter, head of development, and marketing director Julaine Speight, who is returning to the company after four and a half years spent working for Tangerine and her own agency, JAW Digital.

Speight said: “First Internet and Stephen Alexander have always had a special place in my heart and there are some excellent growth opportunities to be had. We have a great, skilled team here, all of whom are hungry to push the agency forward as a collective in memory of Stephen, without whom none of this would be possible.

“I’ve already seen some exciting client wins since re-joining and am thrilled to grow the agency even further alongside Kat and Scott and the team as a whole.”

The agency has recently picked up accounts including Meridian Business Support, Kandy King and Marcia Mediation.
