Northern Irish tech firm opens Manchester office

Data service and marketing software provider, Zymplify has opened an office in Manchester as part of global expansion plans.

The move comes following a £1m cash injection from American investor, John Mattinson, of Mattinson Ventures.

Headquartered in County Derry, its main Manchester base will be in Oxford Road’s Tech incubator, although it will also have a presence at MediaCityUK. It has also opened further offices in Belfast and Boston (US).

“Manchester is well recognised as one of the UK’s top tech hubs with many high-growth start-ups and established industry leaders so we very much wanted to be part of such an active marketplace,” explained Founder and CEO, Michael Carlin.

“Our goal is to become one of the world’s top five digital marketing platform providers and thought leaders by 2022. In the short term we’re seeking to double our client numbers from 100 to 200. This round of investment has enabled us to realise some of those corporate goals more quickly than would otherwise have been the case.

“Our investor, John Martinson from Martinson Ventures, a Philadelphia-based VC firm, has more than 40 years’ SaaS experience so we’re very lucky to have his expertise, experience and guidance. John has made more than 135 investments in the past 30 years.”

David Taylor has been appointed as its Regional Head of Business Consulting to oversee its North West presence.
