VisitEngland has revealed a major £1.2m campaign to encourage people to visit coastal destinations this autumn.
“All On England’s Coast” builds on the success of a North West pilot – All on the North West Coast, which ran earlier in the year, promoting Lancashire tourist destinations.
“It was fantastic for Lancashire to be a part of the pilot campaign for All on England’s Coast earlier this year which focused on the North West coastline and all Lancashire has to offer and seeing the results of that campaign come to life in the summer,” said Vikki Harris, Marketing and Partnerships Director of Marketing Lancashire.
“Extending the campaign to focus on encouraging visitors to Lancashire’s incredible coast throughout autumn, winter and into 2027 is such an important message for our businesses.
“There is a preconception that the seaside is seasonal, but in actual fact there is something for everyone to enjoy on the Lancashire Coast all year round, and events such as Blackpool’s Christmas by the Sea, Morecambe’s Comedy Festival and Winter Lantern Festival, and the new Lytham on Ice event that is coming later this year help with that messaging too.
“So come see what it’s about, all on the Lancashire Coast.”

It will feature 5 themed coastal “clusters” – Creative, Nature, Outdoor, Historic and Classic, to inspire more domestic breaks.
The move comes as VisitEngland research shows coastal breaks are down 18% year-on-year, with travellers also taking shorter trips, booking later and spending less.
It said that if 10% of spending on overseas travel was redirected to domestic holidays, it could generate an additional £8 billion for the economy.
“England’s coastal destinations are among our greatest tourism assets, offering world-class experiences, stunning landscapes and vibrant communities. Our ‘All on England’s Coast’ campaign shines a spotlight on the people, places and businesses that make our coastline so special, inspiring more people to book a break and support local economies,” explained VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes.
“Every part of England’s coastline has its own story to tell, from spectacular walking trails and wildlife-rich landscapes to culture, heritage, food and adventure. Whether visitors are looking for a short escape or a longer holiday, there’s something to suit every taste and budget.
“As we head into autumn, there has never been a better time to discover somewhere new, support local tourism businesses and enjoy everything England’s coast has to offer.”
This first phase of the ‘All on England’s Coast’ advertising campaign will run across radio, podcasts, social media and digital channels.
