Indie wins second year at the helm of Liverpool City Region campaign

Liverpool independent creative agency OneMay has retained a major multi-channel marketing contract with LCR Be More for a second consecutive year.

The agency secured the 12-month brief following a competitive pitch involving multiple Liverpool agencies, with an option to extend the contract for a further year.

OneMay will lead campaign strategy, creative development, social content, animation, out-of-home advertising and paid media for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority platform.

LCR Be More brings together local jobs, apprenticeships, courses, training, career guidance and support for residents and employers across the region.

OneMay first secured the account in 2025 and has since worked to establish a more consistent voice and visual identity for the platform.

During that initial campaign period, Be More membership grew by almost 20 per cent. Impressions increased by 734.6 per cent year on year, while engagements rose by 369.1 per cent and its overall audience expanded by 153 per cent.

The next phase will shift the emphasis from explaining the platform to encouraging action, with the campaign targeting more registrations, applications and downloads.

It will also introduce a stronger employer strand and new creative designed to work across large-scale outdoor sites as well as digital and social channels.

Lee Weaver, co-founder and creative director at OneMay, said: “This is one we really wanted to keep.

“We’re incredibly proud to continue delivering important work for young people across the Liverpool City Region. This is where we live and work, so helping make local jobs, training and career opportunities easier to see and act on feels genuinely meaningful.

“The first year helped grow membership and built real brand equity. Now it’s time to spend it.

“This time, we’re pushing further, thinking bigger and being bolder. Less explaining what Be More is. More showing people what it can do.”

The reappointment follows a period of rapid growth for OneMay. The agency secured five consecutive pitch wins over the summer and expanded its senior team to six.

Founded by Weaver and Martin Porter in 2022, it has also been named among Prolific North’s Independent Agencies to Watch for 2026, following two consecutive years of strong revenue growth.
