Manchester agency completes rebrand for former St Anne’s Hospice

Manchester-based creative agency Truth Creative has completed a major rebrand for the former St Ann’s Hospice, now officially known as Moya Cole Hospice, with the new identity fully installed and visible across the charity’s brand-new facility in Heald Green, Cheadle.

The state-of-the-art hospice provides inpatient, outpatient and bereavement support to people across Greater Manchester affected by life-limiting illnesses.

Truth Creative worked closely with the hospice team to develop the rebrand and create a clear and compelling identity for the organisation’s future.

The new concept was inspired by and named in honour of Dr Moya Cole OBE, who founded the hospice in 1971, and was a pioneering figure in radiotherapy and oncology. It has been designed to reflect the charity’s heritage and Moya Cole’s legacy, whilst providing a platform for the hospice to look ahead and continue its work delivering specialist care and support.

The brand is now embedded throughout the new facility, marking the completion of a project that has run in parallel with the physical build. From signage and wayfinding to interiors, uniforms and collateral, a consistent and welcoming experience has been created for patients, families, visitors, staff and volunteers.

Alongside its work for the hospice itself, Truth’s PR team also supported Caddick Construction, the principal contractor responsible for delivering the new hospice building. Truth provided communications and PR support throughout the construction programme, helping to tell the story of the development and its significance to the local community.

The collaboration brought together Truth’s design and PR expertise, demonstrating the agency’s ability to take a brand from strategy and creative development through to physical implementation, creating a joined-up experience across identity, environment and communications.

Jo Scott, co-founder and managing partner at Truth Creative, said: “It has been a privilege to work with the team at Moya Cole Hospice on such a significant moment in its history. A rebrand of this scale is about much more than a new name or visual identity; it is about capturing what an organisation stands for and creating an identity to which people can connect.

“Being trusted to create a brand for an organisation as loved and respected as the hospice was a huge responsibility, and seeing the Moya Cole brand throughout the new facility is extremely rewarding. The new building provides an incredible setting for the brand, and together they create a strong sense of identity for the organisation’s next chapter.”
