Manchester-based podcast production company Audio Always has been commissioned to produce a new celebrity-fronted health podcast for Holland & Barrett, adding another major brand partnership to its growing portfolio.
The MediaCity-headquartered company, which produces hit podcasts including Help I Sexted My Boss, The Girls Bathroom, Get A Grip and Joe and James Fact Up, has created Back Your Body for the health and wellness retailer as part of its new brand platform of the same name.
Hosted by comedian and broadcaster Ellie Taylor, the series features high-profile guests including Olympic cycling champion Bradley Wiggins, TV doctor Alex George and TV personality Mollie Pearce discussing their relationships with their bodies, health challenges and personal journeys.
Audio Always, founded in 2012, now delivers more than 500 hours of audio, video and live content every month and also produces programmes for BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio 6 Music, including shows fronted by Craig Charles and Paddy McGuinness.
Paul Fernley, Business Development Director at Audio Always, said: “Back Your Body is a brilliant example of what branded content in podcast form can do that other formats simply can’t. When a brand gives people a genuinely useful, genuinely entertaining show it creates a truly engaging audience connection, that in turn really delivers for the brand.”
He added: “As the host, Ellie brings warmth, humour and an ability to make people feel at ease, the result is a production that manages to be both moving and, at times, very funny. Which is exactly what good branded audio should be.”
The new series forms part of Holland & Barrett’s Back Your Body campaign, with guests sharing personal stories that are often left out of mainstream health conversations.
A Holland & Barrett spokesperson said: “We partnered with Audio Always to create something that felt right for our audience and new brand platform Back Your Body. The conversations Ellie has drawn out of the guests are fascinating and inspirational.”
