Preston tech firm builds UK’s largest indoor fan screen

ADI has delivered the country’s largest indoor fanzone screen at Aston Villa’s Warehouse.

The 90.3m square LED screen is now the centrepiece of the venue, which is adjacent to Villa Park and forms part of the club’s ongoing regeneration programme.

It’s been built using ADI’s MT 2.5mm tech, with the ultrawide display operating as a backdrop for live entertainment or as a primary screen for presentations, screenings and conferences.

“Our long and trusted partnership with ADI continues to deliver – this time with the largest indoor fan zone screen in the UK,” said Ben Hatton, Chief Operating Officer at Aston Villa.

“The ultrawide format strengthens our warehouse offering, enhances the matchday experience and provides a flexible platform for future activations as part of our ongoing regeneration.”

On match days the screen can deliver content for fans before and after home fixtures.

ADI said the fine-pitch LED technology means that it can deliver high resolution imagery at close viewing distances.

It’s the firm’s latest installation at Villa, with over 750m square of new screens and signage installed at Villa Park in the 24/25 season.

“We are proud to work with Aston Villa on this exciting warehouse project and have brought forward a creative, flexible digital solution to help transform this location,” said Claire Fitzgerald-Firth, Head of Engagement & Client Services at ADI.

“The scale and flexibility of the digital display provides the club with a powerful new platform to enhance fan engagement while creating additional commercial value within the Villa Park development.”
