Inward investment promotion agency Invest Manchester has commissioned a promotional video by Paper Films showcasing Greater Manchester to international business investors.
It tells the story of the “the UK’s fastest-growing economy and quickest rising population.”
The Manchester-based full-service production company is a specialist in inward investment, place-making and destination marketing films and videos.
The three-and-a-half minute ‘Manchester: Made for Investment’ by Paper Films’ director Daniel Kennedy, was commissioned to promote key growth locations across the city region. It is now available to view online after it was unveiled at this month’s MIPIM property convention.

The fast-paced 3.5 minute production powerfully compresses the many reasons for businesses to move to Greater Manchester, highlighting growth zones such as Manchester Airport and Atom Valley. Making use of continuous motion techniques and impactful close-ups of Mancunian science, commerce and culture, it conjures up a powerful vision of what its voiceover calls “the UK’s fastest-growing economy and quickest-rising population.”
From the countryside views of the skyscrapers of the city centre to the advanced materials, life sciences and robotics cluster along Oxford Road, the film’s portrays Greater Manchester as “primed for investment” with a “talent pipeline for the roles of tomorrow.”
Kennedy says: “It was an honour to be asked to make this film that shows off Manchester to the global property community at MIPIM.
“Modern Manchester is a visual treat if you know where to look and how to present it. I’d like to think the time, effort and love we have put into the project is there on the screen for the world to appreciate.”
Paper Films was acquired in 2024 by Place Capital Group, the place-making and development company owned by award-winning housing developer David Smith-Milne.
