Manchester-based PR agency Tree Communications has landed the UK and Ireland PR account for TAP Air Portugal, adding another airline win to its travel and aviation roster.
The appointment sees Tree tasked with defining and delivering the airline’s communications strategy across the UK and Irish markets, alongside managing its media relationships. The brief plays to the agency’s niche experience in aviation and long-haul travel, following multi award-winning campaigns for airlines including Finnair and Icelandair.

Founder Sarah Stephens said the timing was right for both sides: “We are thrilled to be working with TAP Air Portugal at what is an extremely exciting time for the airline. We will be looking at strengthening awareness of their via routes to Brazil, Africa, Madeira, Azores, the USA and Canada as well as promoting their stop over programme that allows travellers to break up their journeys in either Lisbon or Porto for up to 7 days.”
She added: “My 25 year plus knowledge of luxury hospitality alongside travel and aviation will strengthen the reach of planned campaigns about wine tourism, wellness and sport destination travel so it makes us the perfect fit for TAP Air Portugal.”
For TAP, the UK and Ireland remain priority markets as it continues to build awareness of its network and stopover offering. Ricardo Dinis, Area Sales Manager UK and Ireland for TAP Air Portugal, said: “The UK and Ireland are key markets for TAP Air Portugal, and we’re delighted to be working with Tree Communications. Their expertise and strategic approach to media relations will support our ongoing growth and brand visibility in both markets.”
