Graham Norton returns to dock10 with more Wheel of Fortune

ITV has commissioned a third series of the classic game show, Wheel of Fortune.

Produced by Whisper North, the 9x 60 minute series will include a Christmas special, as contestants try to win a £50k prize.

Hosted by Graham Norton, the show was ITV’s biggest entertainment launch since The 1% Club – which is also filmed at MediaCity’s dock10 studios.

The second series, which aired earlier this year, has reached more than 20m viewers, averaging at 3.3m, with a high of 4m.

“It’s brilliant news that Wheel of Fortune is back on ITV for Christmas and into the New Year,” said Whisper co-founder and CEO Sunil Patel.

“It’s the ultimate feel-good family show that has become essential viewing and a fixture of the festive season. Graham Norton expertly navigates the perfect balance between Saturday night entertainment and down-to-earth comedy, making Wheel of Fortune heart-warming and hilarious, and the perfect start to an evening in front of the telly.”

The format is owned and distributed by Sony Pictures Television, which has a minority stake in Whisper Group.
