Female-focused Northern funder backs women’s sexual health in new investment round

Lifted Ventures has joined a new funding round for MyBliss, the pioneering women’s sexual health brand committed to redefining intimacy care through science and women-centred design.

The round was led by Mint Ventures, with additional co-investment from Alma Angels, bringing together three women-led angel groups dedicated to backing purpose-driven female founders.

Founded by Mo Carrier and Joel Birkhead following Mo’s experience with hormonal contraception side-effects, Manchester-based MyBliss was created to challenge a market historically designed by men, for men.

Their products prioritise women’s bodies, women’s comfort, and women’s pleasure, and the science backs that focus.

MyBliss Ultra-Thin Condoms are vegan-certified and free from casein, glycerin, parabens, spermicide, fragrance, and other common irritants. They are ultra-thin and designed with a discreet, intuitive “buttercup” packaging format, and each element of their formulation is carefully crafted to safeguard the vaginal microbiome and support overall skin integrity.

MyBliss is strategically positioned for strong and sustainable growth, with clear opportunities for category expansion beyond condoms into a broader suite of sexual and reproductive health products.

The company has recently launched MyBliss Intimate Gel, their first laboratory-developed formulation, created in partnership with leading formulation scientists. This hydrating, silky gel moves in harmony with the body and represents a major step into science-led intimate care.

Its ethical, wellness-driven brand, rooted in vegan certification, clean ingredients and a female-founded mission, resonates strongly with today’s consumers.

Investing in MyBliss means backing a mission-driven brand that prioritises social impact as much as commercial success.

Helen Oldham, Co-Founder of Lifted Ventures, commented: “We are delighted to co-invest in MyBliss alongside Mint Ventures and Alma Angels. MyBliss is addressing long-overlooked needs within women’s sexual health with integrity, scientific rigour, and genuine purpose. Their founder story is compelling, their mission is urgent, and their potential for impact is significant. We’re excited to support their next stage of growth.”

Jordan Dargue, co-founder of Lifted Ventures, added: “MyBliss is redefining women’s sexual wellness, and we’re proud to back a female-led founder championing such essential innovation. Empowering this female-led company isn’t just about backing a business it’s about championing a vision that uplifts women, breaks down taboos, and creates long-term value in a space that has been historically underserved.’’

Mo Carrier, Co-Founder & CEO of MyBliss, added: “Partnering with Lifted Ventures, Mint Ventures and Alma marks an exciting new chapter for MyBliss. Their belief in our mission is incredibly empowering, and their support will help us scale our impact and reach more women seeking better, personalised wellbeing solutions.”

Together, Lifted Ventures, Mint Ventures and Alma Angels believe MyBliss is not simply capturing market share, it is redefining women’s sexual wellness, putting pleasure, comfort and empowerment at the centre of the conversation.

Lifted Ventures, co-founded by Jordan Dargue and Helen Oldham, is an early-stage investment network focused on increasing funding access for female founders outside of London and advocating for the business advantages of investing in women.
