Counter, the specilaist tech consultancy arm of Northcoders, has appointed Tom Legg as its new tech lead.
With a strong background across various technologies including ML web apps, and experience in leading high-performing tech teams, Legg has joined Counter to “strengthen its core offering and to support client delivery across various sectors.”
Legg has previously worked at Aiimi and Sykes Holiday Cottages, where he played key roles in building and maintaining innovative digital solutions. He studied at Liverpool John Moores University, and he has completed a leadership development course at Harvard Business School.

In his new role at Counter, Legg will be responsible for setting the technical direction of the engineering teams deployed across client projects. He will ensure code quality and consistency, mentor developers, and foster strong collaboration between technical, product, and UX stakeholders.
The new starter said: “I was really drawn to Counter because of the way it positions itself, not just as a consultancy, but as a true delivery partner that embeds itself with clients to solve complex technical problems.
